Ethan received this Lego dinosaur kit for his birthday. From the single kit he had the option to build a T-Rex, a flyer, or a long neck (Yes it is obvious we watch too many Land Before Time videos around here).

Upon opening the kit he spent the next few hours putting it together according to the pictures on the directions. One of my favorite things about Lego is that their instructions are not written out but drawn, they're blueprints. Everything they make is designed to be built visually.

When all was said and done what he ended up with was this...

This little guy was around for quite some time, until he received a second Lego dinosaur kit. Rather than make two T-Rex (or is that T-Rexs, T-Rexes, or simply T-Rexi?) or a long neck or flyer, Ethan preferred to go out on his own, using a blueprint from his own mind, and created this.  

We call it, E-Rex!
